Corporate Programs/Sports Teams

 

 

 

  • LAP SWIM - Four lanes will be available to adults and serious teens for circle swimming in the 25 meter pool. Master swimmers and tri-athletes are welcome.  Add Adult swim for a Lap/Adult Swim Combo!
     
  • ADULT SWIM - Open recreational swim for adults only. Three lap lanes are provided for continuous swimming or just do your own thing!

 

AQUACIZE - Exercise in the pool using water resistance to enhance strength, flexibility, muscle tone and endurance for a full body workout. Aqua-Job is always a part of the program and the Noodle Workout using swim noodles to enhance lower body exercises. You need not be a swimmer. All are welcome.

 

Deep H2O- This is the next step after Aquacize to build endurance and stamina, Couple this with Aquacize for a more intense workout, or use it as a stand-alone class.

 

PRENATAL AQUACIZE

For a safe. low-impact exercise program you can follow all nine months of pregnancy, enroll in the new prenatal Aquacize program. Swimming, water jogging, and aqua aerobics are some of the best exercises to perform while pregnant. Our YMCA offers a class combining these activities into a low intensity program. The ability to swim is not required- many moves are performed in waist or chest-high water. Exercising in the water is ideal for pregnant women because the water's buoyancy requires you to support only 50% of your body weight, it reduces the risk of stress-related injuries, and the compression of the water is soothing on joints and muscles that are stressed by the added bulk of pregnancy. The water's temperature also keeps you from overheating during your workout.

BODY Sculpting  

Build and sculpt muscles, strengthen your core, improve your strength and flexibility while burning fat and calories. You will gain strength, balance, flexibility and endurance while focusing on total body health. Also helps to prevent the development of osteoporosis while firing up your metabolism, helping you to lose weight and inches. Student should wear comfortable clothing and bring a set of dumbbells, exercise mat and water to class. Accommodates all fitness levels. Work out at your own pace.

 

doo wop AEROBICS   

Shake, rattle and roll to the music of the Doo Wop Era in this fun filled low impact aerobics class.  All fitness levels are welcome.

 

Pilates - Improve your mental and physical well-being.  This class works on improving flexibility, posture and balance while strengthening the muscles of the body's "core" (abdominals, lower back, hips and buttocks.).  Students should wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.  Combine with Gentle Yoga for a complete exercise program. Class size is limited so register early!!!

 

Yoga -An hour of anti-stress and relaxation exercises; releasing muscle tension; improving circulation; stimulating internal functions; breathing exercises for strengthening the respiratory system; general toning and strengthening; and increasing flexibility.  Please bring a yoga mat and wear loose comfortable clothing.  Combine with Pilates for a complete exercise program.  Class size is limited so register early!

 

Kickboxing- Are you looking for a total body workout that totally tones your body and pumps you up? How about a way to increase you stamina, flexibility, and strength  while listening to your favorite dance mixes? Martial arts and boxing moves are performed to increase cardio vascular endurance, strength and balance.

 

Zumba- part dance, part aerobics, Zumba is an hour long routine that works almost every muscle in the body. Zumba offers motivating music and high energy Latin dance moves that are fun and easy to learn. The routines feature aerobic interval of fast and slow rhythms designed to keep you moving and feeling good.
