TENNIS (6 years - Up)
Beginner tennis lessons
will cover all the basics like grip, forehands, serves, backhands, volleys,
footwork, etc. Children MUST provide their own racket! Class size is limited to
8 students per age group. Tennis II will continue the development of these
skills and requires that participants are able to successfully hit a serve and
volley over the net.
Classes are held at Jocelyn Tennis Courts, Wood-Ridge
Lego Mania
Grades: K-3
Calling all Lego fans! Each
week your creativity will be challenged, as you are assigned to design something
new. From spaceships to animals, from race cars to castles, you’ll be making
all kinds of cool structures. Whether we build by ourselves or in groups, we’ll
build some amazing things! We’ll take pictures of you with each creation, and
help you subscribe to LEGO magazine so you can send them your pics!
SPEED & agility clinic
Ages: 9-12 years
This small group training class
will help your child perform to his/her full potential. Under the direction of a
trained instructor, drills and exercises will be performed to help your child
improve speed, quickness and agility. Many of these drills are played in a game
format, so your child will also have fun! Performance will be measured at the
beginning and end of the session, so you can see the improvement.
Outdoor
boot camp for kids
Ages 7-12 Years
This outdoor boot camp will help your child stay
in shape for fall sports while exercising in the great outdoors. certified
trainer will guide participants through strength, speed and agility drills. no
equipment needed. bring a water bottle. call first to confirm availability,
please.
KARATE & SELF-DEFENSE
Ages 4-6; 7+
Learn the art of self-defense and much more!! Classes will teach
your child self-confidence, coordination, balance, listening skills, character
development, stranger-danger, bully buster, self-esteem, manners, respect and
how to release energy! Karate and Self-Defense classes are designed to train
many levels of beginners in the same class – if you liked the first session,
come back and improve your skills!
CHEF-IN-TRAINING
Ages 7-12 years
An
innovative concept in children’s cooking classes developed to inspire, excite
and feed the curiosity of your growing gourmet. Growing gourmets will have the
opportunity to cook and have fun in the kitchen. They will be introduced to
cooking vocabulary and techniques, tool and utensils, basics of etiquette,
nutrition, safety, kitchen math and new foods!

Theatre Arts
For Children
Theatre Games:
Ages 5-7 years
For children who love the spotlight, this is a chance
to develop their interest in theatre. We'll play some
simple acting and improv games, and learn about
expressing feelings with our faces, our body and words,
and learn to use simple costumes and props. Tons of Fun!
Sundays 1:00-1:55pm
Theatre Skills:
Ages 8-11 years
For children who are ready to learn some of the
skills that go into stage work. In addition to acting
and improv games, we'll learn stage directions, talk
about costumes and makeup, and practice some simple
scenes.
Sundays 2:00-2:55pm
Theatre Craft:
Ages 12-15
years
For teens who
want to really begin exploring acting and
stagecraft. We’ll develop our stagecraft through
acting and improv games, scene studies,
monologues and more. We’ll also focus on how
costumes, makeup and scenery help actors do
their jobs. There will be no formal recital, but
parents are welcome to observe the final class.
